I am an advocate for real, every-day people who use digital products on every platform. My background allows me to lead the product development process from start to finish: from establishing initial business goals before conceptualizing the vision, to working closely with developers to bring everything past the finish line. My study in human behavior and digital interactions empower me to draw informed conclusions on analytics and research papers that in turn guide my UX decision-making. My experience in front-end development allows me to create rapid prototypes so I can test and iterate on my designs quickly. And my love for art, design and brand identity always keep me inspired to make something beautiful.

A key tenant in my process is understanding the behaviors and needs of existing or target users. I utilize analytics to learn from common flows, interactions, and demographic information as well as conducting A/B variant testing. I feel that it is crucial to communicate directly with people and get real-world data, therefore I also conduct one-on-one interviews, focus groups, or field surveys to better put myself in the shoes of the target demographic.

In my planning, I work closely with stakeholders to establish business goals and product KPIs to create a feature set that balances UX goals with business needs.I create thorough documentation that can be understood by all stakeholders from finance to development as well as wireframes depicting all flows, interfaces, and interactions. Working with the rest of the team, we iterate on the documentation until everything has been thought through.

My design philosophy is clean and easy-to-understand, but I also love pushing the bar and take any opportunity to do so. I fuel my passion for art direction when designing something new, using current trends and artistic influences, but my objective is to create timeless designs that are appropriate for the brand and the target demographic. Art and design can be very polarizing and can heavily impact conversions so I take into account the emotion and impact art decisions will make on the people exposed to it.

In testing I involve the user to learn and iterate based off real interactions, keep the strategic thinking in check. With my background in development I am able to create and distribute rapid prototypes to stakeholders and users in real context for faster and more accurate results. I establish testing points with analytics to gather data for long-term learnings and success tracking. Now, the work does not end here. I prefer to remain involved in the development process to guarantee pixel perfection, proper execution of deigns, and see my products through to launch.
